Переглядів 6 тис.3 роки тому
we visit Crystal Lake Mine, both the actual tunnels and the beach in our search for mineral specimens and find the best peristerite around. it has a strong blue schiller and is speckled with smoky quartz crystals. In my experience it is the beach dump at crystal Lake that really delivers and the mine is good for seeing graphic granite, peristerite in-situ and also uranophane seeping down the wa...

Gud idia thank you
Sweet video. Im trying to learn how to read maps so i can start actually planning spots to go to with promising results 😊
I have a fairly big sinkhole on my property near Mammoth Cave KY. Other larger ones near by. Any ideas you would share to see if I have caves ? I have 43 acres. Thanks.
This will be a great reason to head South!
Lol I couldnt see it until you damn near smashed it with a camera. Thats considered big?
I've got a mining claim just a few km from that spot. Found a few very large quartz seams but have yet to take any samples.
I'm from tweed madoc area was wondering if you are ever in the area again would be awesome to have you take a look on my property
Tx for sharing!
Not green shale, limestome never forms in deeo water deposits.
I was just there yesterday was a neat experience. I don't live further than an hour away so it's pretty neat will be going back.
Hi there, just looking for feedback. I'm wondering how many folks would be interested in lodging, tent site....40m North of Bancroft, between Plamer Rapids and Denbigh? 9 min from Schutt (close to numerus sites); We like rocks enough to name our goats after a few.
This locale was brought to my attention today by a fellow group member in one of the Ontario hounding groups and I was a bit disappointed to see that there's a note on the mindat page indicating this is now private property and no collecting is permitted. I'm wondering if they have re-activated the mine, like some others in the region in order to mine for minerals for batteries... Leduc Mine is one of those that I have found out is being re-activated.
It was a former Hersheys factory. In fact, since this was posted, Tweed is shutting down and Hershey’s returning. 🤔
Very cool video, just checked the MLAS (Mining Lands Administration System) map and found this are is claimed. The company New Age Metals has the whole area claimed. They found mutli-million ounces of Palladium on their claim CLM450 which covers a very large area of 4777 Hectares. Their Lease Term is for 21 Years starting in 2011 until 2032. The garnets in this area are on their claim so you'd have to contact them to get permission to be on the property as they have legal claim according to the Ontario Ministry of Mines, "all that land and land under water". They have an office in Ontario you can google New Age Metals Ontario Office and find their phone number if you wish to ask permission for access. I have no idea if they will give it but I am personally hoping they will.
Love your video.I do find the music very distracting though.
Wow Very Beautiful😲👍
Isn't it dangerous around that radioactive yellow stuff?
Hi! I found your channel on reddit! I live in kitchener and have been trying to search some places around me for some cool minerals and rocks! Would you be willing to give me a couple spots in kitchener, waterloo, Cambridge or guelph to explore? 😊😊 Love your videos!
These large ones are harmless.
Turtle lovers! Just goofing man; great videos , thank you 😅

I have a place close to the mouth of the Magnetawan river on the 69 highway, anyone know if there's anything worth pursuing in the area ?
What books do you recommend to try to learn about finding caves and understanding their different geological features.
Hi Mick!!! I can't believe it's you when i stumbled upon you're channel. I Don't no if you remember me but i worked with you not to long ago.
That women ruined the Richardson mine.. stupid as all hell letting public in there ... then runs with the money .. sickening someone like that even got access
I’m new at learning about the spectroscopy, what exactly is the chair and what spectroscope do you suggest

Rockhound from Hamilton!?! My ex already has that name! Put a little piece in her pipe and she'll let you explore all her tunnels too!
can light be LED?
What book or reference do you recommend for the spectrum charts?
Im very new at rockhounding and would love to go out with you on a find sometime and learn more!!
This is interesting.. at 3:27 the picture looks very very similarly built by the one in North Bay, in Nova Beaucage..the same 2 pillars standing upright.. not sure why they are so high because they are so far from lake nipissing about 80-100ft.. a barge apparently docked there, at the processing site
ahem. the plural of spectrum is spectra. Got it?
Great vid .
I know of a cave on the Bruce trail. Maybe others in the area .
Hey, this is a long time ago for this video and had to search to find it. So I hunted this area this week for deer and stumbled across the actual large mine here. If your interested in seeing the actual spot they mined let me know. It’s a large hole with a lot of tailings, definitely an old mine.
Wow me and a few friends were here recently! We made it pretty far in but not quite as far as you guys, we spent a lot of time meandering around the maze and with a 5h drive up we were running out of time! good to know there’s plenty to go back for
Ya just came across a big feller scared the crap out of me in qc .
Where's that with the foundations?
The green looks exactly like the green diopside near Grenville QC along highway 50 so I would agree that's what it is. Love your videos, they are quite educational.
Sadly the new owner isn't maintaining the info board and it's looking quite sad this year. The rates went up as well under the new owner, and they charge way too much for children.
Focus, please!
man i wish I wouldve found your videos a while ago. epic stuff. im up for a couple weeks been looking for waterfalls, caves and just enjoying the scenery after work. this looks too inaccessible but would love to see some of the other stuff that might be a bit easier to get too
So you might recommend a cooler? Out of the sun as to not crack the appitite crystals???
I'm loving looking for a buried cave on my friends property
I've got a private question to ask about a lost ancient cave I'm trying to find. And I have some questions about reading lidar mapping to find it. How can I talk to you about this?
